History

Solar Dance Company first started as 'The Afan Lido School of Dance' at the Afan Lido in September 1994.

Over the years, we have become involved with various charity events, including Pontardawe Festival which had S4C coverage, pantomimes, competitions such as Britain's Got Talent and IDO Welsh Championships, and our own annual shows. 

We have also recently been involved in Wild Works/National Theatre Wales' Live Theatre Production of The Passion in Port Talbot, in Easter 2011. See our "The Passion '11" page for links to reviews, photos and videos.

Competition success over the past few years include:

We have also had much success with our soloists, who have won medals in various competitions.
