Cathy's Profile


Cathy Coombs studied Dance at Swansea College, and several courses at Rubbicon Arts Centre in Cardiff.

She was a member of the 'West Glamorgan Youth Dance Company', 'Big Toe Adult Dance Company', 'Un Dau Dance', and 'Fractal Dance Company'.

Cathy is a core member and leading choreographer of 'Take This', an intergrated dance company who have performed in the Grand Theatre and the Taliesin Theatre.

Cathy has taught Contemporary dance techniques at the Canoldre Youth Centre, and has also acted as a supply dance tutor at Ffynnone School, and as a Performing Arts tutor at Swansea College.

In previous years, Cathy has appeared on THE SLATE S4C, STARS AND STRIPES with the BBC orchestra of Wales on BBC1, and has also toured PORTUGAL, playing in several theatres around the country.

Cathy also worked for THEATRE CWM GLOCH in Ystradgynlais, where she choreographed 'Oliver!', 'A Slice of Saturday Night', and 'Annie'.
